Lifestyle Recognition Programme

House of Chunk presents our Lifestyle Recognition Programme

Aimed at giving back, every month.

This isn't a competition, it's recognition for those that work their asses off. Day in Day out.

It's not just about fitness achievements, it's anything from weight loss to a total change of lifestyle; anything where you feel someone you know deserves recognition.

We will announce someone from your nominations at the end of every month.

August Nominee

So the first chosen nominee of the House of Chunks Lifestyle Recognition Programme is @jenthebear_

Jen started her weight loss journey in Feb 2020, looking to drastically change her health and well-being. No fad diets just consistency and continued hard work and dedication to her final goal. In July 2020 she started going to the gym for the first time and by Dec 2020 embarked on starting powerlifting training.

She is consistently pushing herself to hit new goals and in turn now helps motivate others to help change and improve their own lives.

She is prepping for her next 7 week programme to cut and will then re-asses which path to go down, powerlifting and competing or body building.

Jen, all of us at The House of Chunk congratulate you on being our first nominated person for the L R P

  • Jen The Bear

Septembers Nominee

Our second LRP goes to John Pollard @pollard.john

A rather lovely guy nominated and chosen for the award for the following reasons:

John was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 1995 at the age of 25. A fit and very healthy guy with a history of bodybuilding at junior levels and various martial arts ‘under his belt’ as it were.

This diagnosis changed his world completely and he went from doing and eating what he pleased, to having to monitor and test his blood sugars 6 times a day. He is insulin resistant and takes in excess of 300ius a day. In 2016 he suffered a stroke which affected his left side and made his diabetes worse. But incredibly, he still trained through it all.

He has had the privilege to train with some of the best strongmen competitors in the UK over the years and missed out on qualifying for Britain’s Strongest Man by 1 point!!

He has now moved into Powerlifting and won his class at the 2019 and 2021 APBU British Championships.

John you are truly an inspiration to us all. Throughout all of the personal blows you have been dealt, you have faced it head on. And continued to do what you can and be the best you can be.

Welcome to the House of Chunk Lifestyle Recognition Programme, you are truly deserved of being nominated.

We take our hats off to you Sir.
